The new generation of opera singers, selected on the basis of the competition, presented a new production of Giacomo Puccini’s famous opera “La bohème” at the Opera and Ballet Theater. The life and history of the young artists living in the Latin Quarter of Paris came to life on stage. Akaki Gugushvili played the role of Marcello on December 24, 2022.

On November 28, 2022, a gala concert dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Tbilisi State Conservatorie Opera Studio was held. In addition to Georgian opera stars and the guest orchestra of the Opera Studio, students of the Conservatorie also participated in the concert. Akaki Gugushvili performed the duet Absalom and Murman from the opera “Absalom and Eteri.”

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Conservatorie Opera Studio, Giacomo Puccini’s one-act opera “Gianni Schicchi” was performed in the Great Hall of the Conservatorie on November 22, 2022. Akaki Gugushvili performed the role of Gianni Schicchi.

23-24 September 2022

On September 23-24 2022, the 171-th season of the Zakaria Paliashvili Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre was traditionally opened with Z. Paliashvili opera “Abesalom and Eteri.” Akaki Gugushvili made his debut with the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre troupe, playing the role of the Majordomo.

On March 26, the the Opera Studio presented another premiere of G. Donizetti’s L’elisir D’amore in the Great Hall of the Tbilisi State Conservatory, where Akaki Gugushvili played the role of Dulkamara.

18 November 2023

On November 18, 2023, the Opera Studio of V. Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire presented the first performance of the autumn season of the 2023-2024 academic year, “The Marriage of Figaro” by V. A. Mozart, where baritone Akaki Gugushvili sang among other performers. He appeared in front of the audience as Figaro, the Count’s servant.

24 February 2024

On February 24, 2024, the premiere of a large-scale performance of C. Saint-Saëns opera “Samson et Dalila” was held on the stage of the Zakaria Paliashvili Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theatre, a beautiful production of the Monte-Carlo Opera House. The role of Abimelech was performed by Akaki Gugushvili.

On June 2 of the same year, the premiere was renewed again on the big stage of the theatre, where Akaki performed the same role in front of the audience.
