On September 26, the Batumi Drama Theatre stage came alive with Pietro Mascagni’s timeless Cavalleria Rusticana. Presented within the Black Sea International Festival Batumi Rhapsody – Golden Voice of Opera, founded by the famous soprano Tamar Iveri, the performance offered the audience an evening of passion and drama. The cast featured Elmina Hasani (Santuzza), Andrés Sánchez-Yoglari (Turiddu), Akaki Gugushvili (Alfio), Anastasia Minashvili (Lola), and Eter Khalbashi (Mamma Lucia), conducted by David Mukeria. The production was staged by Zaza Agladze, with Rusudan Beridze as choirmaster.
