
Akaki Gugushvili was born in Georgia, Tbilisi. In 2016-2019, he studied at Tbilisi Z. Paliashvili Central Music School for “Decade of Talents”. In 2019, he earned a bachelor’s degree in law at the Technical University of Georgia.
In 2020, he joined the Faculty of Performing Arts of the Vano Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire, studying solo academic singing under the guidance of Teimuraz Gugushvili – an outstanding Georgian opera singer / lyric-dramatic tenor /, a People’s Artist of Georgia, and a recipient of the Order of Honor.
In 2020, he participated in master classes of the famous Georgian opera singer Yano Alibegashvili (soprano). In 2023, he participated in the master classes of the outstanding Georgian baritone Giorgi Gagnidze.

On September 23-24 2022, the 171-th season of the Zakaria Paliashvili Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre was traditionally opened with Z. Paliashvili opera “Abesalom and Eteri.” Akaki Gugushvili made his debut with the Tbilisi Opera and Ballet State Theatre troupe, playing the role of the Majordomo.
The new generation of opera singers, selected on the basis of the competition, presented a new production of Giacomo Puccini’s famous opera “La bohème” at the Opera and Ballet Theater. The life and history of the young artists living in the Latin Quarter of Paris came to life on stage. Akaki Gugushvili played the role of Marcello on December 24, 2022.
